Wade
Wade is an open-source animated desk companion. He reacts to touch, keeps a timer, and brings a little company to your desk. He’s quite pleased about it.
Install Wade
Install or update over USB with desktop Chrome, Edge, or Firefox 151 or newer. No developer tools needed. Other browsers can download firmware.

Choose the exact board. Other CYD variants may have different screens or touch controllers. Device not listed? New hardware ports are welcome.

The latest stable release is selected by default.

Use a USB data cable and close any serial monitor.
Device not connecting?
Check your cable, close other apps using the serial port, and try download mode.
CoreS3 Lite: hold Reset until the green light appears, then release. Choose the newly appearing USB port.
CYD: if automatic reset fails, hold BOOT, press and release RESET, and release BOOT once the flasher connects. A missing Windows port may need the CH340 driver.

Supported devices: M5Stack CoreS3 Lite and CYD ESP32-2432S028R with resistive touch. Packages include firmware, checksums, and USB installation instructions.
Device not listed?
Help bring Wade to new hardware. New ports are welcome: Wade needs a 320×240 display, touch or another pointer input, and a chip with a Rust toolchain.
